Welcome to another edition of Emory’s Eloquence!
I must say that this year has gone by so quickly. It is hard to imagine that in only a couple of months that I
will be passing on the title and crown to the winner of MGNCA 2011. It has been such a wonderful year thus far and a truly rewarding experience. Being MGNCA
has given me the drive and push to constantly better myself in order to uphold the prestige and integrity of the pageant. It is an experience that I will be
forever grateful for. I would like to thank everyone for the support that you have given me and the pageant.
The temperature outside isn’t the only thing getting hot!! So is the completion for MGNCA. Miss Greensboro America produced two contestants, both of which
will be ones to watch for. The winner was Brianna Davis and her first alternate is Ferocia Starr. Miss Divas America was a great pageant this year producing the
most contestants thus far. Congratulations to the winner Jade Paris and her first alternate Robyn Cassadine. Lita Alexander, Felicia Monet and Nirobi all worked
hard and I hope to see them in other prelims. The following day I headed up to Asheville for Miss Gay Asheville America. Angela Lopez captured that title
with first alternate Jaquelynn Matthews. Im sure all these ladies/gentlemen will bring it to state.
We have a summer full of prelims roarin' and ready to go for those who have not yet won their spot to state. Coming up on Wednesday, June 15th will be Miss
Gay Charlotte America which will be held at Scorpio. Friday, June 17th is Miss Gay Hickory America. This will be held at Club Cabaret. Sunday, June 19th is
Miss Gay Capital City America held in Raleigh at Legends showbar. Friday July 1st is Miss Gay Charlotte Latina America which will be held in Divas Lounge.
Friday, July 15th is Miss Gay Raleigh America at Legends. Our final preliminary will be Miss Gay Western NC America on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at O.Henry's in Asheville, NC. Like I said, we have a summer full of prelims so the heat is on!!!!
I had the pleasure of traveling to Dallas TX for the Miss Gay USofA pageant. It was a great experience and I learned lots! The highlight of the week was
getting to see a former MGA, local legend and one of my idols Luscious captured the title. She is a wonderful person and amazing entertainer. Congratulations
on national title #2!!! As always, I am available to anyone that may have any questions or concerns. Please feel free to contact me either via email
emory.starr@gmail.com or give me a ring at (704) 533-0601.
Much love!!!
